In the winter of 2023 I travelled to San Francisco to visit my aunt and we visited Ocean Beach on two separate days because looking at the ocean just felt so good for my heart. On the second visit I did a little bit of plein air painting and took some references photos - one of which turned into this studio painting! I simply can’t resist rocks in water, they just feel so good to paint.
