Rocky Lake Huron Shoreline Original Watercolour Painting
This is an original watercolour painting by Amanda Farquharson of some rocks along the water’s edge on Boiler Beach, a rocky beach near Kincardine, Ontario. The rocks are mossy and seaweed trails along and around the rocks, while the water sparkles and reflects over the shallow pebbles and stones.
This painting is 5 and 3/8 of an inch wide and 3 and ¾ of an inch tall, on warm white watercolour paper. Painted in careful detail, all the whites you see are the white of the paper left to shine through the paint. This took 24 hours to paint, but each hour was a joy.
