Waves and Aqua Foam Original Watercolour Painting

$700.00

This is an original watercolour painting by Amanda Farquharson of foamy waves enveloping some rocks off the North Californian coastline. This was a pleasure to get lost in, carefully leaving the whites of the paper to gleam in the foam and as sparkles of sunlight on the rocks.

This painting is 5 and 7/8 inches wide and 6 and 1/8 inches tall. Amanda paints about an inch per hour with tiny brushes, so this likely took around 36 hours to paint. The painting is signed in black ink in the lower right corner, and has pencil notes in the lower margin with the title, date, and Amanda’s name.

Amanda is often fascinated by the interplay of waves and rocks, one seeming so immovable and sturdy, but being changed over the passage of time by the continual movement of the water.
